So what is the catch?
There is no catch, but there is a number. Nothing is paid upfront, and once the site is live, 12 payments of $297 including GST pay for it in full: $3,564 in total.
I carry the build cost because acquiring a client through advertising costs me roughly what the build costs me. I would rather spend it on your website than on Google Ads, and the 12 payments only start once the site is live and able to bring you enquiries. That is the whole model.
If your website has not produced a lead from SEO within the first 90 days, you stop paying me until it does. There is no refund, and I do not promise rankings. Read the guarantee in full, including what counts as a lead and what I exclude.
Yes, it is 12 payments. The difference is that you pay nothing until it is live, and after the 12th the website is paid off and yours, whether you stay on the plan, have me host it free or take the code.
The Australian small-business website market is broken, and I think I know where.
Among Australian providers that publish a price, a build runs from $250 to $7,500 and an SEO retainer from $499 to $6,600 a month before GST, and the larger agencies I checked publish no price at all. Either way the fee buys the work, and plenty of small businesses pay it for a year without seeing a measurable result.
At the other end, the drag-and-drop builders hand you a template and an editor, then leave you to do the keyword research, the copy, the schema markup and the hosting yourself. That is not a cheaper version of the same thing. It is a different product.
Here is the opinion I will defend: template builders that hide content behind JavaScript are the single biggest reason small business websites underperform in Google and in AI answers.

How the 90-day lead guarantee actually works.
What counts as a lead?
A unique inbound phone call of 60 seconds or longer, or a completed contact or quote form on your website. Tracked through call tracking and form analytics installed on day one.
What doesn’t count?
Friends, family, existing customers, suppliers, sales calls, spam, or traffic from paid ads. The lead has to come from search.
What if there are no leads?
You stop paying. Billing pauses at the 90-day mark and resumes on the first qualified lead from SEO. Fees already paid are not refunded, and I do not promise you a ranking or a date by which you will have one.

Yes, and deliberately. There are no phone or video meetings on this offer. Everything happens by email and through the client portal, which is what keeps the build cost low enough for me to give the build away. If speaking to someone is a precondition for you, I am not the right fit and I would rather say so now.
You get 2 written feedback rounds. I make changes within 48 hours of each round. If after both rounds you still hate it, I walk away with no fees owed.
I will not put a number on that, because nobody honestly can. What I will put in writing is this: if the site has not produced a lead from SEO in the first 90 days, you stop paying me until it does. Billing resumes on the first lead. No refund, and no ranking promise. If billing pauses under the 90-day guarantee, the remaining payments pick up after the first lead, so the total stays $3,564.
No. Some clients are starting from scratch. Most are replacing a site that never ranked.
Not during the 12 payments. They include hosting on a global edge network served from Sydney, with monitoring, backups, SSL and security, and I can't stand behind performance, uptime or the guarantee on hosting I don't control. After the 12th payment you can take the full code to any hosting you like.
